REVEAL GLASGOW WELCOMES ALCHEMY EXPERIMENT AS HEADLINE SPONSOR
Reveal Glasgow (previously Glasgow Contemporary Art Fair ) are delighted to announce that local business The Alchemy Experiment will be the events Headline Sponsor for 2023. Due to ever expanding visitor numbers Reveal moves from the Marquee at Kelvingrove Art Gallery to the SEC from the 19-21st of May with the larger venue now enabling the organisers to offer visitors extended facilities including complimentary art classes plus additional exhibition space and hospitality areas.
The Alchemy Experiment opened its doors in October 2020 and is located in the heart of the city’s bustling West End on Byres Road. Alchemy is an inclusive arts venue and collective whose aim is to create a unique space for art and creativity. Since its inception it has hosted many award winning artists from the world of painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture and film and has a loyal and growing audience for its regular exhibitions. As well as hosting three Open Calls for art that resulted in three publications and group exhibitions; the most recent of which ‘It’ll Be Alright’ featured artwork from across the globe.
Open 7 days Alchemy Experiment also boasts an artists shop selling a wide range of prints, jewellery, clothing & more from local & established artists. Throughout the week the space doubles as a gallery & coffee shop which has become a relaxing space and mainstay for many locals, creatives and visiting artists. With speciality coffee supplied by Glasgow-favourite Dear Green & treats by Big Bear Bakery. In the evenings the space regularly hosts workshops, films screenings, talks & private events.
Co-founder and gallery chief Pierce Houlihan sees a natural synergy with the sponsoring of Reveal due to the shared belief in supporting both local & established artists and improving the accessibility of art to everyone.
